Ecom Express launches Electric Vehicles in its operations
Ecom Express Private Limited, a leading end-to-end technology enabled logistics solutions provider to e-commerce industry, has launched Electric Vehicles (EV) in its operations. The company has started with the deployment of 20 electric vehicles in Delhi-NCR Region and is looking to deploy more number of vehicles in a phased manner in several cities across the country. “Adding electric vehicles to the local fleet is a big step for Ecom Express and in the right direction and exemplifies its green commitment as a responsible corporate citizen. We have begun our journey in boosting e-mobility and are committed to playing our part of role in making India EV ready and to the Government’s ambition of providing green technology solutions,” says Sanjeev Saxena, Co-founder, Ecom Express Private Limited.
In a bid to promote a more sustainable form of mobility, the Company had launched trials of battery operated electric vehicles in November last year and found it to be a viable option and a much-needed move. The plans are underway to launch more electric vehicles across the country as supply side picks up. By opting for electric vehicles in its operations, the logistics Company has joined the movement of going for green mobility alternative.
